Description:

The selected Consultant will develop biddable plans and specifications for the Garage Improvements, which comprise extending the existing garage structure to the south by approximately 24 feet, complete with the relocation of all attached piping, appurtances, and roll-up access doors. The existing garage is located on the east side of the existing Corporation Yard Building and is approximately 52 feet wide, 64 feet deep, and 20 feet high. The garage walls are constructed of reinforced masonry block. The structure has a slab footing and a truss supported roof deck. The south wall includes three roll-up doors that should be relocated or installed in-kind on the new south wall of the garage extension.

The selected Consultant must have experience in providing engineering design services for commercial and industrial buildings, with particular knowledge of facilities similar to the District’s Corporation Yard building. The selected firm will work closely with Ironhouse staff through the design phase, and should be prepared to begin work immediately upon award of contract.
