Board Election

The Board of Directors is the governing body for Ironhouse Sanitary District, representing the needs and interests of its customers. The Board sets policy and leads through governance, accountability, and resource stewardship.

Board meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Committee meetings are also held monthly, and limited duration Ad Hoc Committees are also created to address particular topics or support specific initiatives.

If you are a resident of Oakley or Bethel island, a registered voter, and ready to serve your community, the Ironhouse Sanitary District invites you join our Board of Directors. Two seats on our Board are up for election in November, 2026. The nomination period opened on July 13, 2026, and closed on August 7, 2026. 

Nomination papers are available through the Contra Costa County Elections Division:
